ALABAMA STREET

An unlivable home from the early 1900’s, this small Bernal Heights Victorian was completely rebuilt from the foundation up. Given the potentially historic nature of the project, the features of the facade (window, door, stair locations) were maintained, but the latent beauty in the original (yet dilapidated) Victorian facade was really brought out with the meticulous re-creation of all the trim elements that had come to define that era. The monochromatic & modern aesthetic of the facade segues into the stark modern interior that follows. The rear of the home has an expansive 13 ft wide pocketing glass door that leads onto a deck with views up towards Bernal hill.
